Maternity health in the world has still long way to go

We are still facing serious issues that societies need to solve globally:


• Neonatal mortality
• Gender inequalities
• Continual learning and flexibility – innovations to promote change
• Lack of access to essential health services – ease the access scalable way

Too many lives are still being lost

2.6 million children died in the first month of life in 2016 with most occurring in the first week, representing 47% of mortality in children
under-5.
There were 303 000 maternal deaths in 2015.
